• Mission: This intern will support Project Managers in various critical aspects of construction projects, from initial estimating and scheduling to design meetings, procurement, and site visits, ensuring smooth operations and timely project completion.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Estimating: Assist Project Managers in describing project proposals and assigning accurate dollar values to construction projects.
• Scheduling: Create comprehensive working timelines for subcontractors and trades, ensuring all project phases are completed efficiently and on time.
• Design Meetings: Attend design meetings with owners and project teams to gain a thorough understanding of design, structural engineering, and architectural aspects of projects.
• Buyout: Manage the buyout process by sending bid instructions, schedules, and drawings to subcontractors, then receiving, evaluating, and awarding subcontracts based on proposals.
• Permitting: Handle permitting by filling out and submitting necessary permit forms, drawings, and fees to city, county, and fire departments, and actively managing the approval processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Experience: A minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, strong work ethic.
• Bonus: Previous internship or co-op construction experience.
