The Tone:
This is a student position at Daktronics, located in a U.S. based home office, with a preference for Brookings, SD or Sioux Falls, SD. Daktronics designs and produces cutting-edge digital LED display technology and audio systems that enhance sports events, attract customers globally, and provide guidance in daily life. The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Part-time (up to 20 hours/week academic year, up to 40 hours/week summer)
• Location: Remote, United States (preference Brookings, SD or Sioux Falls, SD)
• Pay: $19–$21 hourly
• Team: Reports to Project Managers
• Mission: Be involved in all phases of a project from Sales support to contract fulfillment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Assistance: Provide project management assistance for projects spanning various Sports and Commercial markets.
• Sales Support: Support the Sales team with project proposal generation, quoting, and technical presentations.
• Documentation Management: Initiate and organize contract documents, subcontract documents, and general project correspondence.
• Internal Coordination: Coordinate internal project tasks including Sales to Engineering representations, systems design, project accounting, material requisition, manufacturing, and shipping.
• Project Supervision: Supervise or assist in the supervision of on-site project installations and manage standard or custom projects after demonstrated performance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field; sophomore or junior year preferred.
• Experience: Entry-level position requiring strong academic performance (acceptable GPA) and the ability to regularly and reliably work scheduled hours.
• Skills: Possess good oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and fluency in English.
• Bonus: Prior construction experience is desired, along with technical or mechanical interests, hobbies, and experiences.
