Project Management Intern | LXN Photography

The Tone:
This is an unpaid internship at LXN Photography, located remotely. LXN Photography specializes in visual storytelling through weddings, events, portraits, and brand photography. As the business expands, this role is designed for emerging professionals seeking real-world experience in project planning, operations, and cross-functional coordination within a creative environment. The intern will be instrumental in improving operational structure, supporting execution across teams, and gaining valuable professional development, mentorship, and portfolio-building opportunities.

The TL;DR

• Mission: Improve operational structure and ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and aligned with business goals.
• Tech Stack: Asana or Monday.com, Clickup, Google Workspace, Slack, Trello, Excel or Google Sheets, CRM or client management tools.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Planning and Execution: Support the development of project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, assisting in tracking progress and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Operations and Workflow Management: Analyze and improve internal workflows, helping to build repeatable systems and document procedures and best practices.
• Cross Functional Coordination: Coordinate between marketing, design, and production teams, ensuring alignment among stakeholders and facilitating communication for weekly planning and check-in meetings.
• Reporting and Analysis: Track project performance and progress metrics, creating simple dashboards or status updates, and summarizing risks, blockers, and priorities.
• Process Improvement and Strategy Support: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, recommend project management best practices, and support the implementation of new tools and systems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Emerging professional pursuing an MBA, PMP certification, business degree, or related studies.
• Experience: Interest in project management or business operations; ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, analytical and structured thinking, attention to detail, self-motivated and reliable, collaborative mindset, and willingness to learn and adapt.
• Bonus: MBA students or business degree candidates, PMP candidates or interest in certification, experience with project coordination or operations, familiarity with project management tools, interest in startups, small business, or creative industries, exposure to Agile or traditional project management frameworks, or experience with reporting or data tracking tools.
