Host Guest is a U.S.-based startup, officially launched in 2024 and registered in Georgia in 2025. Its mission is to connect students and cultural travelers with verified host families across the United States. The platform aims to offer safety, trust, and a sense of belonging, particularly for international and out-of-state students who may feel disoriented in new cities. The company is currently preparing for its official launch in August 2025, with its platform fully developed and undergoing final refinements. Host Guest operates with a decentralized team of over 20 interns across various departments including marketing, design, product, outreach, and operations.
Job Description
Job Title: Project Management Intern
Reporting Structure: The Project Management Intern will report directly to the Project & Operations Lead.
Core Responsibilities:
The intern will support the company’s overall coordination and internal flow, acting as a strategic assistant to track progress, organize team deliverables, and follow up with key departments. This is a highly cross-functional role focused on ensuring organizational efficiency, timely deadline adherence, and comprehensive team support. Key responsibilities include:
• Tracking and maintaining project plans and task lists in Asana.
• Assisting in the creation and updating of timelines for key team deliverables.
• Conducting weekly check-ins with interns across departments to monitor task progress.
• Escalating blockers or delays to leadership in a clear and constructive manner.
• Supporting internal meeting preparation and follow-up, including taking notes, sending reminders, and outlining action items.
• Organizing shared documents and weekly update reports.
• Helping maintain calendars and scheduling for multi-team collaborations.
• Providing structure and assistance to team leads across product, tech, marketing, and outreach departments.
Qualifications:
• Required:
• Must be based in the United States.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Currently studying or recently completed a degree in business, operations, or communication.
• Comfortable using Asana, Google Drive, Google Calendar, and Slack.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
• Bonus:
• Experience with remote teams or managing multiple timelines at once.
Compensation & Internship Structure:
• Hours: 15 to 20 hours per week.
• Duration: Remote position running from July 10 to September 6, 2025.
• Stipend: Base stipend of $500 for the full internship.
• Bonus: Additional bonus of up to $500 based on company growth and final launch performance.
• Future Opportunities: High-performing interns may be offered long-term roles following launch.
