Job Description: Project Management Intern
This internship provides on-the-job training in a professional environment alongside experienced professionals. The program typically runs from May to August.
Project Focus: The intern will assist the Project Manager and stakeholders in the successful completion of an on-site facility improvement project focused on enhancing the site entrance’s appeal and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Coordination: Assist in planning, scheduling, and execution of customer-funded facility projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation (meeting notes, progress reports, schedules, change orders), track milestones and deliverables.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to manage expectations, provide timely updates, and resolve issues/delays.
• Site Visits & Inspections: Participate in site visits, monitor project progress, and ensure work meets specifications and safety standards.
• Project Schedule Management: Support the team in maintaining an updated project timeline, ensuring deadlines are met and the project scope is followed.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Completion of the junior year in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Skills: Strong interest in project management and technical environments; excellent communication and organizational skills; detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with scheduling tools (like MS Project) is desired; ability to work collaboratively.
• Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required.
Compensation: The Summer Intern hourly range is $25.50 – $32.20 per hour, based on experience, skills, education, and credentials.
