Job Description

Overview

The HealthEdge Internship Program offers a structured paid 12-week virtual internship designed to engage students in meaningful and strategic project work that delivers real impact to our teams, customers, and business. This program also focuses on professional development and career exploration.

As an intern, you will:

  • Support the Delivery team.
  • Gain exposure to various departments and strategic initiatives through our Discover HealthEdge weekly series.
  • Participate in a three-day Innovation Challenge.
  • Present a final internship project to showcase your impact.
  • Attend workshops focused on resume writing, LinkedIn profiles, and interview preparation.

Your Impact

In this role, you will:

  • Manage a small project from start to finish, including maintaining the RAID log, updating the project schedule, and preparing weekly status reports.
  • Assist project managers by tracking milestone completion and compiling stakeholder updates for weekly steering committee meetings.
  • Support the Project Management Office (PMO) by conducting gap analyses and documenting recommended improvements to project intake workflows and governance processes.
  • Configure and enhance Smartsheet dashboards, improve connected sheets, and support resource capacity planning efforts.
  • Help improve reporting, transparency, and documentation across PMO projects and operational processes.

What You Bring

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Project Management, Business Management, Business Analytics, Operations Management, or a similar major.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understands project management principles and life cycles.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Excel (e.g., vlookup, pivot tables, data visualization).
  • Experience with collaboration tools (e.g., Smartsheet).
  • Strong analytical skills with previous/current coursework in data analysis.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into executive-ready summaries and visual dashboards.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).

  • Work Environment: This is a remote work environment, requiring the ability to work across multiple time zones. The role involves long periods of sitting and/or standing in front of a computer using video technology.

Compensation

The hourly pay for this position is $25/hour.
