The Project Intern role is designed for College Students to gain hands-on experience in commercial construction project management.

Key Learning Areas & Responsibilities:

Project Management Fundamentals: Interns will learn various aspects of managing construction projects, including:
• Scheduling
• Budget management
• Handling change orders
• Processing Purchase Orders (POs)
• Managing billing procedures
• Understanding contracts
• Processing warranty requests
• Ensuring overall client satisfaction
Field Technology: Familiarization and practical application of industry-specific field technologies such as KeyStyle and Plan Grid.
Project Documentation: Gaining a solid understanding of project drawings and the drawing submittal process, including how to manage and incorporate revisions.
Team Support: Assisting team members in all facets of the project management process as instructed or needed.
Safety Culture: Learning about the company’s (Chamberlin’s) Safety culture and practices.
Cost Management: Becoming familiar with job production tracking and time and material costs management.
Meeting Participation: Attending various project meetings, such as pre-work meetings and job site meetings, as assigned.
Quality Assurance: Learning about Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) processes.
Other Tasks: Performing other tasks as may be assigned or required by the project team.

Qualifications:

Experience/Education Focus:
• Must have completed at least 50% of College credits.
• Academic focus must be in Construction or a construction-related field.
Skills:
English speaking is required.
Bilingual proficiency is preferred.
Abilities/Requirements:
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to work a defined schedule.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read construction documents.
Proven ability to self-manage and problem solve.
Proven ability to effectively interact and work with team members.
