This position plays a pivotal role within the Project Finance division, directly contributing to the full lifecycle of complex transactions, encompassing everything from initial origination and intricate structuring to final execution. The Project Finance Analyst I/II is instrumental in facilitating deal progression, collaborating with numerous internal stakeholders, and ensuring a seamless experience for clients throughout their engagement with Truist.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Assistance: Assist with the origination, sophisticated structuring, and efficient execution of Project Finance lease, partnership, and loan transactions, ensuring adherence to internal guidelines and market best practices.
• Business Development Support: Work closely with Origination and Structuring teams to support new business development initiatives, conduct thorough market analyses, perform due diligence, and aid in the overall structuring and execution of deals.
• Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate effectively with various Functional and Matrix partners, including Credit Risk, Asset Management, Portfolio Management, and Operations, to streamline transaction processing and optimize the client experience.
• Document Preparation: Develop and finalize essential client pitch materials, comprehensive proposals, detailed term sheets, and initial transaction screening materials to facilitate deal progression.
• Financial Valuation: Conduct in-depth pricing runs, develop robust financial models, perform detailed return analyses, and provide comparable transaction/relative value analyses to inform strategic decisions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited undergraduate program.
• Experience: Demonstrate some relevant work experience gained after completing an undergraduate program, indicating practical application of learned skills.
• Skills: Exhibit proven analytical ability and meticulous attention to detail; possess solid leadership and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrate a proven capacity to work effectively within a team-oriented environment; and display strong written and oral communication capabilities.
• Bonus: At least 1 year of relevant work experience acquired since graduating from an undergraduate program is preferred.
