This is a full-time Project Engineer role within The Walsh Group’s Mid-Atlantic Heavy Civil Division. • Mission: Solve complex construction problems and ensure efficient project coordination and delivery.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Administration: Manage critical project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and claims, while providing daily coordination support to the project team.
• Resource Management: Oversee the procurement of necessary construction materials and ensure effective coordination with all subcontractors involved in the project.
• Quality and Safety Assurance: Conduct comprehensive Quality Control and Quality Assurance checks, and actively manage safety protocols to maintain high standards on site.
• Site Execution Support: Manage construction equipment, perform survey and project layout, and compile weekly progress reports to track project advancement.
• Financial Contribution: Assist with project estimating activities to support accurate budgeting and resource planning.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional in a relevant field; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant field.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities; skilled in using data for making decisions and recommendations; highly organized in planning work and effectively executing those plans; adept at collaborative teamwork; and dedicated to building and maintaining strong relationships.
• Bonus: Prior internship, co-op, or employment experience is a significant advantage.
