Project Accountant | CFS

The Tone:

This Project Accountant role is a new addition driven by significant business growth, and it is vital for ensuring financial accuracy and compliance across project lifecycles. The position involves close collaboration with company leadership, Project Managers, and various internal teams.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoicing and Documentation: Manage the creation of invoices, lien waivers, and pay estimates, along with processing payroll analysis and transportation data according to specific contract details.
• Accounts Receivable Review: Systematically review and analyze billing reports to ensure the prompt collection and receipt of all due receivables.
• Project Payment Analysis: Continuously analyze pay estimates at different stages of project cycles to monitor financial progress and adherence to budgets.
• Payment Assistance: Provide support to the Accounts Payable team for processing payments to subcontractors and suppliers in strict accordance with contract terms.
• Cash Management Reporting: Contribute to cash management activities by assisting with the preparation and analysis of relevant financial reports.
• Central Communication Point: Serve as the primary contact for all required documentation, facilitating communication and information flow between subcontractors, suppliers, corporate teams, and Project Managers to ensure compliance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early-Level professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and/or billing functions.
• Skills: Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities for handling large and complex data sets, strong aptitude for technology and various systems, and excellent communication skills.
