Job Description:
This is a Programming Intern position located at the Corporate Office in Eau Claire, WI, within the Information Systems Department. The internship focuses on application development and reports to a Team Lead/Manager. Travel is not required. The pay rate is $19.75/hour.

Position Summary:
The Developer Internship provides students with a valuable experience working on real-world applications. Interns will work a part-time, flexible schedule (15-20 hours per week between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday) to accommodate their educational needs and will be involved in the entire development lifecycle, from program specifications to coding, implementation, and testing. They will also work on identifying and analyzing problems with the help of a Software Engineer mentor. Other duties may include documenting user requirements, completing application change requests, and performing quality assurance testing.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Development & Support:
• Develop and maintain applications, primarily using Java.
• Work through the entire development lifecycle, creating program specifications through coding, implementation, and testing.
• Create test plans and thoroughly test and debug all programs prior to implementation.
• Provide weekly status updates on current projects.
• Work with stores, Help desk, and technical support Team Members to troubleshoot problems as they arise.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of User’s operations to facilitate communication.
• Production Issues:
• Identify problem trends proactively.
• Execute action plan(s).
• Follow established processes for problem handling and resolution.
• Security & Confidentiality:
• Maintain information confidentiality and security.
• Protect, prevent, and report all unauthorized attempts to obtain corporate information.
Skills/Requirements:
• Actively enrolled in a college/university, pursuing an Associate or Bachelor degree in Software Design, Software Development, Computer Science, or Computer Programming major.
• Knowledge of the JAVA programming language, JSPs, Servlets, EJBs, Spring, Object-Oriented Design.
• Familiarity with XML, Eclipse, Android Studio, and Visual Studio is helpful.
• Excellent design and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Capable of working on both individual and team-oriented projects.
• Must be able to work in Eau Claire, WI, for the duration of the internship.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
