Job Description: Programme Management Intern (Aircraft Modifications)
This 12-month internship is based in Frimley, Surrey, U.K. and offers the opportunity to gain experience within the Boeing Global Services Programme Management team. The team manages post-delivery modifications of aircraft for customers, focusing on integrating new equipment such as seating, IFE equipment, and monuments (galleys, lavatories, and stowages). This involves managing multiple stakeholders who provide equipment and services to the customer.
As an intern, you will:
• Work closely with a senior Programme Manager to interact with global airline customers.
• Assist with managing project delivery schedules, ensuring they meet quality standards and financial controls from project award to final delivery.
• Learn to identify and manage program risks, issues, and opportunities, working to protect and improve program performance.
• Coordinate internal activities to ensure tasks progress in line with program requirements.
• Participate in major milestone meetings with customers (ITCM, PDR, CDR, FAI) and assist in compiling meeting minutes and action plans.
• Prepare weekly status updates, milestone schedules, and risk analysis summaries.
• Learn about and assist with communicating program status, ongoing financial viability, and identifying key issues.
• Assist with managing customer change requests and supporting proposals for schedule and cost-related impacts.
• Initiate invoicing of project payments and follow up on payment as required.
• Support the creation of proposals in response to customer RFPs.
This role offers valuable experience in an aerospace Programme Management environment.
Essential Qualifications:
• Right to work in the UK (Boeing does not sponsor applicants for employment visa status).
• Currently studying a degree course or graduated within the last two years.
