WPI Financial Analyst | Lockheed Martin

The Tone:
This is a hybrid position with Lockheed Martin, requiring part-time remote telework and part-time work at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Lockheed Martin is a global leader that designs, develops, and delivers advanced technologies in defense and aerospace. This role is crucial for ensuring the financial health and performance of the Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Program, directly contributing to the delivery of innovative solutions for customers. The position supports program leadership by providing essential financial analysis and guidance to manage costs effectively.

• Mission: Manage the financial performance and cost control of a complex program by providing analysis, guidance, and executing key financial processes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Rhythms: Manage the financial business rhythms for Level of Effort Contract Line Items (CLINs).
• Financial Forecasting: Collaborate with Program Leads to prepare accurate monthly Estimate at Completions (EACs), identifying and tracking financial risks and opportunities.
• Earned Value Management: Execute Earned Value Management (EVM) activities, including program baselines, subcontractor data integration, EAC/ETC analysis, and CDRL preparation and delivery.
• Financial Guidance: Provide financial leadership and guidance to Program leads, communicating financial metrics to ensure a focus on cost control.
• Program Spending: Proactively assess program spend and communicate funding needs based on current Estimate at Completions (EACs).

The Must-Haves
• Background: Background in Finance & Business Operations, Managerial Accounting, or other business-related disciplines. U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a secret clearance.
• Experience: Experience using Microsoft Excel.
• Skills: Ability to perform analysis of program performance and communicate findings to Program leadership. Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment and independently resolve issues. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Bonus: Previous experience or knowledge with Earned Value Management principles, metrics, and tools. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex problems. Ability to effectively forecast Orders, Sales, EBIT, and Cash flow.
