About Disney Corporate Global Workplace Security Internship
Disney Corporate, a global entertainment and media giant, is seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to join their Global Workplace Security team as an intern. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world experience in the field of workplace violence prevention and threat mitigation, working alongside industry leaders.
The Global Workplace Security team is a dedicated group focused on safeguarding Disney employees by:
• Educating employees on workplace violence prevention.
• Identifying and analyzing trends in workplace violence and threats.
• Providing expert opinions during threat assessments.
• Customizing training to address regional threats and government policies.
As an intern, you will be involved in:
• Researching and analyzing current trends and events related to workplace violence and threats.
• Supporting team data collection initiatives.
• Collaborating in brainstorming training development.
• Managing enterprise-wide online learning through an internal learning management system (LMS).
• Coordinating internal and external meetings, preparing presentations and agendas.
• Crafting content and analysis for monthly bulletins.

Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

• Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Knowledge of project management.
• Proactive approach to work.
Education:
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Law, Criminology, International Relations, Homeland Security, or a closely related field.
• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
• Possess unrestricted work authorization.
Additional Information:
• Candidates should be available to work a minimum of 3 days per week (24 to 28 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.
• This internship is a primarily on-site position in Glendale, California.
• Candidates must provide their own housing and transportation.
• Candidates need a reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
• Writing samples may be requested as part of the interview process.
• The pay rate for this role in California is $22.00 per hour.
• Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package.
