Job Description:
Alkegen is seeking professionals in Buffalo, NY. This is a role that involves supporting capital projects and production trials with a strong emphasis on safety and collaboration.
Major Responsibilities:
• Adhere to Alkegen’s safety standards in all work settings (office, laboratory and plant).
• Work directly with engineering mentor to execute assigned capital projects.
• Support plant-scale production trials.
• Communicate effectively (maintain auditable lab records, report data accurately).
• Minor travel (including local plants to support development activities at production-scale).

Preferred Qualifications And Experience:
• Pursuing a degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, paper engineering, industrial engineering, or a closely related program
• Completed mathematics through pre-calculus
• A course in statistics at high school, or preferably at the college level, is highly desirable.
• 1 year college-level chemistry including laboratory
• Experience with rudimentary lab practices such as accurate weighing, handling strong acids and bases, and titration is highly desirable
• 1 year of organic chemistry is preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs, proficiency with Excel formulas
Pay: $23/hr
