About the Role:

This is an exciting entry-level opportunity with room for advancement within Georgia-Pacific’s Cellulose production team. Production Team Members are crucial in supporting facility production goals by operating various equipment and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Compensation:

• Starting Pay: $21.72/hr
• Opportunities for overtime.
• Eligible for quarterly bonuses.
• This role is part of a collective bargaining agreement, with the starting pay rate set.

Shift:

• Rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
• Includes weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Our Team (Georgia-Pacific Brunswick Mill):

What You Will Do:

• Strictly adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including wearing required safety equipment.
• Collaborate with a team to achieve and surpass safety, production, and quality objectives.
• Perform regular quality checks and ensure the cleanliness of your designated work area throughout the shift.
• Operate equipment according to defined standards and product specification targets.
• Execute housekeeping duties, including cleaning the paper machine’s dryer/vent equipment.
• Operate a forklift to recycle waste from paper machines.
• Assist with troubleshooting minor machine malfunctions, making necessary machine adjustments, and performing equipment changeovers. This may involve working in high and/or confined spaces.
• Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced industrial environment that can be hot, cold, humid, and noisy. This may also involve working around dust, oil, grease, chemicals, and other substances.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, pushing, and/or pulling for at least 12 hours per day.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications):

• One year of experience within a manufacturing, warehouse, or construction environment.
• Two or more years technical degree or higher.
• Mechanical experience.
• Prior forklift experience.
