Production Management Internship

This internship offers you a chance to gain real-world experience in production management. You’ll be working alongside a senior Production Supervisor, gaining exposure to people leadership, process improvement, and various operational projects.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Shadowing: Observe and learn from a senior Production Supervisor, gaining valuable insights into their role and responsibilities.
Production Line & Process Understanding: Gain a comprehensive understanding of production lines and processes.
Project Assistance: Contribute to projects aimed at improving quality, productivity, and ensuring food safety.
Production Goals: Assist plant leadership in meeting or exceeding daily production goals.
Customer Requirements: Identify and communicate customer requirements to the team.
Productivity Improvement: Collaborate to enhance plant productivity and efficiency.
Process Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve process issues as they arise.
Food Safety & Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, customer requirements, and standard operating procedures.
Auditing: Establish and audit PCPs (Preventive Control Plans), CCPs (Critical Control Points), and standard operating procedures.
Corrective Action: Investigate and address incidents where procedures are not met.
Training: Train hourly partners on process changes and improvements.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Dairy Science, Food Science, Animal Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Quality, or a related field.
Location: Willingness to relocate to Stephenville, Texas for the Summer of 2025 (relocation assistance is provided).
Academic Standing: Completed sophomore or junior year in college.
Enrollment: Must be enrolled as a student during the internship (Spring 2025 grads or previous graduates are not considered).
Work Schedule: Ability to work 40 hours/week during the 2025 summer for a minimum of 10 weeks.
Transportation: Reliable transportation to the plant.
Leadership: Proven leadership experience and a strong desire to lead people in the future.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
Initiative: Self-starter with a proactive approach.
Growth Mindset: Eagerness to grow, embrace new challenges, and seize opportunities.
Independence: Ability to work independently.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Adaptability: Ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and adapt to different communication styles and personalities.
