About The Role & Program

Immerse yourself in the dynamic world of live daily television production with the “Live Kelly and Ryan” internship program. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a popular, one-hour talk show hosted by Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. “LIVE” is renowned for its diverse programming, featuring a mix of celebrity and entertainer interviews, cooking and health segments, and fashion spotlights. Interns will experience the show’s signature “host chat” and the variety programming that defines its success.

This comprehensive internship is scheduled for June 2026 through December 18, 2026, offering significant hands-on experience in a professional broadcast environment.

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)

As a Production Intern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of “LIVE!” Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Production Assistance: Act as a vital production assistant during show tapings.
  • Audience Coordination: Manage large studio audiences, including handing out raffle tickets and distributing giveaway prizes.
  • Guest Services: Set up green rooms and coordinate essential paperwork with celebrity guests.
  • Research & Content Development: Assist producers with in-depth research for lifestyle segments and gather information for celebrity interviews, often sourcing talk points that may air on the show.
  • Observational Learning: Gain valuable insights by observing various aspects of the show’s production, both on and off the set.
  • Administrative Support: Support the production staff by answering phones, logging show notes, running essential errands, and managing the intern email account.
  • General Production Tasks: Undertake other ad-hoc production tasks that arise throughout the day.

Through these responsibilities, you will gain significant knowledge and practical experience in audience coordination and the intricacies of television production.

Required Qualifications & Skills

We are seeking enthusiastic and proactive individuals who possess the following:

  • Initiative & Drive: A proven ability to take initiative and independently drive tasks to completion.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and demonstrated experience multitasking effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Career Aspirations: A clear pursuit of a career in television production or the entertainment industry.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proven skills in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Communication: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally in a workplace setting.
  • Academic Background: A major or previous coursework in Broadcast Journalism, Communication, Film & Television, Screenwriting, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following will be highly regarded:

  • Previous experience in entertainment or production roles.

Education

  • Undergraduate students currently in their junior or senior year.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

To be considered for this invaluable opportunity, candidates MUST meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization in the United States.

Additional Program Information

  • Work Schedule: Ability to maintain a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
  • Internship Dates: The approximate dates for this internship are June 2026 through December 18, 2026.
  • Work Hours: All candidates must be willing to work Monday through Wednesday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, totaling 24 hours per week.
  • Housing: Ability to provide your own housing for the entire duration of the internship program in the New York, New York area.
  • Transportation: Ability to provide reliable transportation to and from work in the New York area.

Compensation & Benefits

The pay rate for this role in New York is $22.50 per hour.
