Job Description:
KTP is offering a Production Intern Program designed to develop candidates’ skills in a real-world production environment. This internship provides exposure to a fast-paced setting and offers opportunities to build relationships that can help interns identify their future career paths.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform packing duties including palletizing, stacking, and packing cases.
• Assist with supplying packaging material for the line with the material handler or machine operator.
• Complete cleaning/sanitization of work area according to established guidelines.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized production line and work area.
• Assist with waste removal from line and/or plant.
• Observe all safety and quality procedures while completing required duties.
• Process all required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervision.
Requirements:
• Must be recommended by a KTP employee.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete daily reports and correspondences. Ability to effectively communicate to co-workers and supervisor.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractures, and decimals.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with information.
Shift and Hours:
• 1st shift, 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday.
Important Note:
• Interns may not work for or directly report to a family member.
