Job Description, Detailed
This is an Internship Program at UFC, designed to allow students to apply academic knowledge and skills in a corporate environment. Interns will be fully immersed in daily departmental operations and directly involved in tasks and projects that contribute to UFC’s growth.
Program Details:
• Eligibility: Open to any student currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program.
• Location: This is an on-site, in-person internship in Las Vegas, NV.
• Assistance: UFC does not provide relocation, housing, or transportation assistance.
• Program Dates (Fall 2025): August 25, 2025 – November 21, 2025.
• Application Deadline: July 25, 2025 for all Fall 2025 internships.
The Role (Production Assistant Intern):
The intern will act as a Production Assistant, primarily assisting staff and crew with various production-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assists staff and crew during shoots.
• Helps with the set-up and tear-down of shoots.
• Logs footage into the production asset management system.
• Organizes media within the production asset management system.
• Creates video links for online distribution.
• Downloads content from third-party clients.
• Transcribes videos.
• Downloads videos as needed.
• Performs other assigned tasks, duties, or projects.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Must be currently enrolled in an academic program directly related to the position, such as Television, Film, Communication, or Journalism majors.
• Academic Level: Junior, Senior, or Graduate-level preferred.
• Skills (Software):
• Proficient in Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Comfortable using Mac-based products.
• Skills (General):
• Knowledge of basic computer programs and a willingness to learn new ones.
• Willingness to learn and advance production knowledge and skills, particularly in post-production and live television broadcasting.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Personal Attributes:
• Sharp focus, self-motivated, and driven personality.
• Ability to take ownership of delegated work and projects.
• Ability to maintain discretion and handle confidential information.
• Must be a team player.
