About the Job: Product – Privacy and Responsibility Team Internship (2025)

This internship is with the TikTok Product – Privacy and Responsibility team, which focuses on building industry-leading solutions in user privacy, minor protection, transparency, and social responsibility. The team designs and develops features that integrate regulatory and compliance requirements with engaging, user-centric experiences, aiming to ensure a safe, trustworthy, and enjoyable platform for TikTok’s global community.

Internship Program Details:
The internship program aims to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience, providing opportunities to develop fundamental skills and explore potential career paths. It includes a vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops. Interns will utilize their knowledge in real-world scenarios, laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth.

Duration: 12 weeks
Start Dates (Summer 2025):
• Monday, May 12
• Monday, May 19
• Tuesday, May 27 (following Memorial Day)
• Monday, June 9
• Monday, June 23
Note: Candidates able to commit to these start dates will be prioritized, and availability (Start date, End date) should be clearly stated in the resume.
Application Process: Candidates can apply to a maximum of two positions (globally across TikTok and its affiliates) and will be considered in the order of application. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, encouraging early application.

Responsibilities:
Interns on this team will be involved in:
• Launching feature and infrastructure improvements, including A/B tests, to enhance user experience.
• Working closely with engineering, designers, legal, and other product teams to develop and refine solutions.
• Analyzing metrics and data to measure impact, identify opportunities, and inform product decisions.
• Diagnosing product bugs and collaborating with teams to drive solutions.
• Researching industry trends and competitive landscapes to inform product development.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or above.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct both qualitative and quantitative analysis to inform product decisions.
Clear and concise communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with global, cross-functional teams.
Attention to detail with a strong sense of product thinking to develop well-balanced, user-valued solutions.
Adaptability in fast-paced environments, demonstrating a dynamic and entrepreneurial mindset to navigate change and ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Field of study in Computer Science, Engineering, Design, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Experience or strong interest in digital regulations and compliance.

Job Information & Compensation:

Hourly Rate Range (Campus Intern): $35 – $35.
Benefits: Interns have day-one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, 10 paid holidays per year, and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in the first half of the year, 40 if hired in the second half). Benefits may vary based on employment nature and country work location, and the company reserves the right to modify them.
