Job Description (Detailed)
This role is for a Product Manager Intern within the Partner Product team.
About the Team:
The Partner Product team is crucial for TikTok Shop, focusing on the Open API Platform and the App Ecosystem for both 1st-party (1P) and 3rd-party (3P) partners. Their primary goal is to empower partners to collaborate effectively with the platform, providing rich and diverse service capabilities that help merchants and creators operate more effectively and efficiently. The intern will be integral to this mission, specifically responsible for gathering user requirements and designing partner products to deliver effective solutions to target users and clients.
Responsibilities:
The Product Manager Intern will be responsible for a comprehensive set of tasks related to product development and management:
• Product Design & Documentation: Lead the function, architecture design, prototype design, and PRD (Product Requirements Document) writing for partner products. This includes, but is not limited to, the planning and design of Open APIs, Open platforms, and various seller integration tools.
• Product Iteration & Optimization: Utilize data analysis to identify product issues and uncover seller requirements. Continuously iterate products to enhance the seller experience. This role is directly responsible for the business outcomes related to seller product usage, such as seller onboarding success rate, catalogue assortment coverage rate, and fulfillment success rate.
• Product Lifecycle Management: Ensure complete management of the product lifecycle, from the initial design phase through development, successful launch, and subsequent iterations. This requires strong collaboration with multiple departments to achieve seamless execution.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: Must currently be pursuing an MBA degree.
• Commitment: Ability to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026.
• Platform Familiarity: Familiarity with the product functions and integration design of mainstream DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, SFCC) and third-party seller tools (e.g., Rithum, Zendesk, Yotpo). Demonstrated experience in integration product design or seller tool product design for related platforms is required.
• Analytical & Design Skills: Possesses excellent product experience design capabilities, logical analysis skills, and data analysis skills, coupled with a strong business perspective.
• Communication & Management: Exhibits excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills. Must be capable of flexibly adjusting strategies in complex environments and driving the smooth progress of projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
• E-commerce Experience: Familiarity with TikTok and mainstream e-commerce platforms, with a strong preference for experience in content-based e-commerce.
• Technical Understanding: Experience and understanding of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and 3P (Third-Party) integrations.
