Job Description:

This is an undergraduate placement scheme offering multiple internship positions within the Product Licensing and Buying team. The internship is a full-time role requiring an on-site presence four days a week. The successful candidate will be a second-year undergraduate student on an industrial placement year, returning to their studies in Autumn 2026 and eligible to work in the UK. The start date is June 2025. The annual salary is £23,500, with 25 days of holiday (plus bank holidays) and various employee benefits including discounts on Disney products and services.

Specific Internship Areas:

The internship encompasses several areas; applicants can express a preference in their cover letter but will be considered for any of the below:

Publishing: Assisting with product approvals for Disney books and magazines, supporting licensee marketing and PR, analyzing data and market trends, developing presentation and commercial skills.

Site Merchandising: Supporting the e-commerce team with online store planning and trading, preparing products for online launch, reviewing data categorization, and developing skills in accuracy, planning, and communication.

Disney Home: Gaining exposure to marketing and PR campaigns for homewares, working on new product launches, supporting financial aspects and reporting, honing communication skills through stakeholder management, and conducting market research.

Disney Store: Assisting the buying team in delivering consumer products, from competitor research to product launch in flagship stores and online; developing buying, retail, data analysis, and presentation skills; building relationships across global Disney businesses, including stores, parks, and licensing partners.

Responsibilities: (Common to all areas)

Interns will assist with licensing partnerships, sample assessment, product catalog management, and market analysis. The role will develop commercial and creative thinking and provide insight into the creation of Disney products. All roles demand strong attention to detail, the ability to work well under pressure, professional communication skills, prioritization, meeting deadlines, and proficiency in MS Office.
