AMSOIL Product Development Engineer Intern – Summer 2026
The AMSOIL Product Development team is seeking a highly motivated and challenge-oriented Product Development Engineer Intern for Summer 2026. This exciting opportunity is designed for students looking to expand their career and typically runs from after the spring semester until the start of the fall semester. This position is based on-site at the AMSOIL Center in Superior, Wisconsin.
Core Responsibilities:
- Support key research topics to provide insights on industry trends, driving technical opportunities.
- Investigate emerging test methods in the industry and identify opportunities for correlation to field performance.
- Report on project progress to cross-functional teams, including leadership.
- Independently manage product testing and maintain professional communication with both internal and external laboratory partners.
- Record and analyze data with the mechanical laboratory for product optimization.
- Measure and test outsourced parts to streamline the inspection process.
- Support the design process of a test stand, encompassing initial planning, detailed design, fabrication, and implementation.
Position Requirements:
- Must be working towards a bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Must have completed Sophomore year by the start of the internship.
- Available 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the summer months.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Can work and enjoys working independently with little to no supervision.
- Excellent organization skills with a keen attention to detail.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in CAD (Computer-Aided Design).
