About the Job: Product Design Internship (Summer 2026)

Program Duration
This immersive internship program is scheduled to run from June 1 through August 28, 2026.
Where You’ll Work
This is a hybrid role designed for collaborative in-office engagement. Interns will be required to work from our offices in either San Francisco or New York three times per week, fostering a dynamic and interactive work environment.
What You’ll Do: Drive Impact Through Design
- Actively collaborate with experienced product designers on new product development initiatives, seeing your innovative ideas directly reflected in a global brand impacting millions.
- Create impactful UX designs, prototypes, and UI mockups, including detailed wireframes, intuitive flowcharts, and polished components, bringing concepts to life.
- Participate in dynamic product design sprints, actively co-creating solutions alongside cross-functional partners from Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and Data Science.
- Contribute to essential user research and usability testing efforts, leveraging insights to inform crucial design decisions and shape overarching product strategy.
- Help design and evolve components for Tinder’s comprehensive design system, and actively experiment with cutting-edge new design patterns.
- Brainstorm and ideate innovative product experiences that powerfully embody and bring to life Tinder’s core mission and values.
- Present your design work confidently for constructive feedback in design critiques and cross-functional reviews, honing your presentation and communication skills.
What We’re Looking For: Your Profile
- Currently enrolled in a university/college program, pursuing a degree in Design, Product Design, UX, or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI).
- Demonstrated experience in product design, UI design, and/or UX design through coursework, personal projects, or previous internships.
- Strong product instincts and advanced UX skills, capable of translating complex problems into intuitive and delightful user experiences.
- Excellent command of visual design principles, layout, and typography skills, ensuring aesthetic quality and clarity.
- A keen eye for simplicity and visual harmony, creating clean and engaging interfaces.
- Detail-oriented and adept at managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with essential design software, including Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and various prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Protopie, Adobe XD, Invision, or Principle).
- A deep curiosity about how design decisions impact user behavior and business outcomes, driven by data and user insights.
- Comfort working effectively in ambiguity and iterating quickly, adapting to evolving project requirements.
- An eager desire to learn from feedback and thrive in a diverse, global team environment.
