Product Designer Intern | TikTok

The Tone:
This is an internship at TikTok, located in Los Angeles, CA. TikTok is a leading global short-form mobile video platform, built to inspire creativity and bring joy to hundreds of millions of users worldwide. This role is crucial for delivering a first-class user experience, helping people create, express, discover, and connect. Interns gain valuable industry exposure and hands-on experience, transforming their ambitions into tangible impact within a global design team.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Design Experience: Design engaging user experiences for TikTok, the global creative short video platform.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various cross-functional teams, including product managers, researchers, UX writers, and engineers.
• End-to-End Involvement: Participate in every aspect of the product development process, from generating ideas to refining pixel-perfect designs before launch.
• Prototyping & Iteration: Rapidly prototype conceptual product ideas, design user flows based on data analysis and user research, and iterate on designs after gathering feedback.
• Integration & Updates: Integrate user feedback and business requirements to continuously update and improve the product experience.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
• Experience: Must commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026, and submit a recent portfolio with the application to be considered.
• Skills: Strong capabilities in interaction design, regularly executing prototypes using tools like Figma.
• Bonus: Experience with A/B testing and data-driven design practices, ability to rapidly iterate multiple concepts, and familiarity with Principal, Adobe Creative Suite, OSX, iOS & Android.
