Product Design Intern at TikTok:

This internship presents an opportunity to join TikTok’s fast-growing team in New York or San Francisco. As a Product Design Intern, you will lead and own product features, driving impact for TikTok globally. The role offers the chance to:

Develop exceptional user experiences: You’ll go beyond static UI design, pushing the boundaries of user interaction with skills in After Effects, Lottie, Principle, or Cinema4D to create visually stunning and engaging experiences.
Refine and enhance design systems: If you are passionate about design systems and technical details, this role will involve refining, optimizing, and expanding existing design components while collaborating on new additions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, researchers, UX writers, and engineers) to design and execute impactful product experiences worldwide.
• Contribute to multiple design projects from strategy to launch, ensuring high-quality and meaningful experiences for users.
• Develop multiple solutions for design problems based on user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
• Create comprehensive user flows, including low- and high-fidelity prototypes.
• Review product releases through qualitative and quantitative data (pre and post-launch) to ensure high-quality experiences reach millions of TikTok users.
• Participate in design workshops and sprints to explore innovative solutions to challenges and opportunities identified through research and data.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

• A portfolio showcasing a strong skillset in visual and user-centered design processes.
• Ability to quickly iterate and produce multiple design concepts.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate concepts, vision, and decision-making.
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• A keen eye for detail.

Preferred:

• Experience thriving in a startup culture that values efficiency and impact.
• A willingness to embrace failure as a learning opportunity and strive for success.
• Academic background in visual, motion, or UX design.
• Proficiency in Figma and a meticulous attention to detail.
