About the Role: Product Data Management & Analysis

This role is centered on the critical management, analysis, and processing of product data, playing a vital part in maintaining and enhancing the product information available on GlobalIndustrial.com. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and the continuous improvement of the product data library, working collaboratively with various internal teams and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Collection & Evaluation: Effectively collect, evaluate, and process large sets of data, identify key trends, and proactively solicit feedback from stakeholders with a strong focus on providing actionable recommendations and solutions.
• Product Data Normalization: Take full ownership for the normalization and processing of new and existing product information data from inception to completion, specifically as it pertains to new and existing items featured on GlobalIndustrial.com.
• Schema & Library Enhancement: Collaborate closely with the Product Data Steward to enhance and better define the company’s product data library and schema, ensuring optimal structure and usability.
• Supplier & Team Collaboration: Work intimately with the Product Operations Support team and key suppliers to meticulously collect, review, and update critical product information, ensuring its accuracy and completeness.
• Content Management & Consistency: Perform various content activities including detailed data analysis, precise editing, applying updates resulting from data normalization efforts, and providing content support, all while ensuring the utmost consistency of product information across all platforms.

Competencies And Skills

• Academic Background: Currently a Rising Senior pursuing a major in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Analytical Aptitude: Possesses solid analytical skills, demonstrating the ability to interpret complex data and draw insightful conclusions.
• Organizational Excellence: Exhibits strong organizational skills, capable of managing tasks and information efficiently.
• Communication Proficiency: Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate ideas and information to all levels of the organization.
• Technical Tools:
  • Proficient experience with standard MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) is required.
  • Experience with Power BI is a significant plus.
• Work Management: Proven ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously and ensure accurate and timely completion of all assigned tasks.
