Job Description: Procurement/Supply Chain Intern (Summer & Fall 2025)
Peraton is seeking a full-time (40 hours/week) Summer & Fall 2025 intern to support their Corporate Procurement Team. This position can be performed remotely. The internship runs from June 2025 to December 2025.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee purchasing: Manage the acquisition of materials, equipment, products, parts, services, and supplies for operations and new business initiatives.
• Manage supplier agreements: Negotiate and maintain long-term contracts with vendors, securing favorable pricing, discounts, and terms.
• Support new business: Translate client proposal requirements into cybersecurity supply chain risk management solutions.
• Improve asset management: Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of managing Peraton’s corporate hardware and software assets.
• Ensure compliance: Maintain adherence to all relevant government regulations in procurement transactions, processes, policies, and procedures.
• Provide data analysis and reporting: Develop tools and reports to measure and improve procurement performance.
• Support staffing solutions: Contribute to the effectiveness of Peraton’s staffing procurement strategies.
Qualifications:
• Required:
• US Citizenship
• High school diploma and some advanced-level training.
• Current enrollment in an accredited university’s 4-year degree program (BS/BA/BBA or higher) in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with supply chain management concepts.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, time management skills, and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and committed to fulfilling responsibilities.
• Eager to learn and grow professionally.
• Customer service-oriented.
• Desired:
• Prior work experience (class projects, extracurricular activities, internships).
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Compensation: $20.00/hour
