Job Description: Procurement Representative – Buyer
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Procurement Representative – Buyer to join their dynamic procurement team. This role is crucial in sourcing and securing the materials and services necessary for their operations.
Responsibilities:
• Sourcing and Procurement: Source, negotiate, and purchase a wide range of items, including machinery, equipment, tools, raw materials, packaging materials, parts, services, and supplies. This ensures operational success.
• Supplier Management: Assist with supplier scheduling and prioritization to meet production line demands. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, focusing on quality, reliability, and adherence to schedules. Analyze supplier operations to identify cost factors and negotiate optimal pricing while maintaining quality and reliability.
• Data Analysis and Cost Reduction: Compile and analyze statistical data to assess procurement feasibility and set price objectives. Track price trends, manufacturing processes, and procurement data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Negotiation and Documentation: Negotiate pricing, prepare requests for proposals (RFPs) and bid packages, and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery. Review supplier proposals.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in transportation and/or logistics.
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 1 year of professional experience OR 6 years of professional Supply Chain Management (SCM) experience.
• Negotiation experience.
• Blueprint and specification knowledge.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of metallic raw materials.
• Manufacturing to Order (MTO) / ERP experience.
• Expediting shipment experience.
Additional Information:
• Clearance Level: None required.
• Work Location: Onsite, full-time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
• Work Schedule: 4×10-hour days, 3 days off per week (multiple shifts available).
