Procurement Officer Electrical Assembly | Airbus
The Tone:
This is a permanent role at Airbus, located in Toulouse, France. Airbus designs, manufactures, and delivers a range of aeronautical products, including commercial aircraft families such as the A320, A350, A330, A220, and A400M. This role is crucial for contributing to the procurement strategy for the core business of Electrics, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of electrical assemblies for aircraft production. It involves working in a multicultural environment and connecting with strategic aeronautical suppliers to support innovative projects shaping the future of aviation.
The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Permanent
• Location: In-person, Toulouse, France (Occitanie)
• Team: Electrics Procurement team (PSCL), a multicultural team of approximately 10 Procurement Officers.
• Mission: Manage suppliers and procurement strategy for highly customized electrical assemblies to ensure on-time, on-cost, and on-quality delivery for aircraft production.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Contract Management: Maintain the integrity and execution of contracts, including managing commercial claims, negotiating technical modifications, and conducting price reviews.
• Supplier Performance: Evaluate the overall performance of suppliers and support their development in close collaboration with the operational functions.
• Cost Improvement: Contribute to company cost improvement projects by identifying opportunities and negotiating commercial agreements with relevant programs and functions.
• Tender Leadership: Lead or support calls for tender processes to ensure the fulfillment of business needs.
• Risk Management: Identify and manage risks related to suppliers, such as financial, strategic, or monopoly risks, and define appropriate mitigation actions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Master degree in Engineering or Business school; Entry-Level career experience.
• Experience: First experience in Procurement or Sales, along with experience in contracts management and supplier relationship.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills, leadership behavior, efficient stakeholder management, creativity, and a proactive approach to challenging existing practices.
• Bonus: Negotiation level of French is preferred.
