Procurement Manager – Customer Packaging South Asia | Unilever

• Team: Leads a team of two direct reports (WL1s).
• Mission: To develop and implement procurement sourcing strategies for all customer packaging spend in India, driving value, sustainability, and resilient supply chains.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, SAP CLM, Excel
What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategy Development: Develop, implement, and execute Unilever procurement sourcing strategies for all customer packaging spend across India.
• Spend Management: Manage a spend exceeding 39 million EUR related to corrugated packaging, monitoring supplier capacity to assure continuity of supply.
• Team Leadership & Negotiation: Lead a team of two, guiding global and/or regional negotiations and executing contract negotiations utilizing business and digital tools.
• Sustainability & Cost Optimization: Contribute to Unilever’s packaging sustainability commitments and optimize packaging designs for cost-effectiveness while maintaining technical and consumer purpose.
• Value Chain & Supplier Innovation: Identify and implement value chain intervention projects to enhance efficiency and bring supplier-driven innovation ideas to market, fostering strategic supplier relationships.
The Must-Haves
• Background: University degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a relatable subject. This role requires a leader with experience in managing a team.
• Experience: Minimum nine years of experience in procurement and supply chain, with a proven track record of success in procurement and negotiations. Experience with long-term business strategies and complex stakeholder management across functions is essential.
• Skills: Strong communication skills for senior-level internal and external stakeholders, advanced analytics skills including deep knowledge of Excel, and professional negotiation models and techniques.
• Bonus: Industry experience and knowledge is considered a plus.
