Procurement/Logistics Intern | O-I

The Tone:
This is an internship at O-I, located in Perrysburg, OH (Hybrid). O-I is a leader in crafting pure, sustainable, and brand-building glass packaging for many of the world’s most renowned food and beverage brands, with over a century of expertise. This role offers a valuable opportunity to assist and gain insight into key aspects of O-I’s business within the Supply Chain domain, making a real impact on operational efficiency and success. You will contribute to core functions that keep O-I delivering high-quality glass packaging globally.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: Perrysburg, OH (Hybrid)

• Team: Procurement/Logistics, reporting to the Procurement/Logistics Leader
• Mission: Assist and gain insight into critical Supply Chain operations and lead smaller projects to enhance business processes and performance.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

What You’ll Actually Do
• Assist with buying and expediting activities, along with conducting root cause analysis for invoice resolution.
• Perform market intelligence for sourcing events and execute detailed spend analysis.
• Conduct master data analysis and track material inventory to ensure accurate supply chain insights.
• Participate in freight tendering, transportation spend data analysis, and procurement/business process reviews.
• Lead smaller projects, including creating and maintaining key Supply Chain KPIs, developing manufacturing production schedules, and performing ad hoc analyses.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management (covering logistics, purchasing/sourcing, operations, and transportation).
• Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
• Skills: Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and conceptual skills, alongside excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Bonus: Previous internships are considered a plus, and candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis, with a targeted graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027.
