About the Opportunity:
Embark on a dynamic internship journey as a Procurement Intern with Progressive, facilitated by our innovative HR consultancy firm. You will gain invaluable exposure to real-world processes, contribute to strategic initiatives, and develop foundational skills essential for a successful career.

What You’ll Experience:
As a Procurement Intern, you will be exposed to multiple, impactful aspects of the Procurement/Sourcing process at Progressive. This program is structured to provide a comprehensive understanding and practical application of key business operations, including:

• In-Depth Process Understanding: Develop a robust understanding of Progressive’s end-to-end Purchase to Pay Process, learning how requests transform into completed transactions.
• Category/Commodity Management: Gain practical insights into how various categories and commodities are strategically managed. This will involve:
• Networking & Collaboration: Actively engage with a diverse range of business stakeholders and seasoned sourcing professionals, building essential connections and gathering critical insights.
• Data Analysis & Creation: Participate in the creation and detailed analysis of procurement data, contributing to informed decision-making and process improvements.
• Reporting & Presentation: Develop and enhance your communication skills by sharing your findings, insights, and learned knowledge with both team members and leaders.

Who We’re Looking For (Requirements):
To excel in this role, we are seeking highly motivated individuals who meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background:
• Possession of a high school diploma/GED equivalent or higher.
• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Communication, Sales, Actuarial Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Risk Management, Human Resources, Accountancy, Management, Media Studies, or any field of study that will enable you to meet the minimum requirements for a full-time role within 12 months of successful completion of this internship.
• Essential Skills & Attributes:
• Exceptional Communication: Demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication abilities, crucial for effective interaction with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Detail-Oriented & Organized: Proven ability to work in a detailed-oriented and organized environment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
• Technical Proficiency: Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), leveraging these applications for data management, analysis, and presentation.
• Adaptability & Intellectual Curiosity: A strong ability to be adaptable to new challenges and environments, coupled with a genuine intellectual curiosity to continuously learn and explore.

Compensation:
This position offers a competitive hourly wage:
• $23.50 / hr
