About CSX

CSX is a major transportation company that provides rail-based freight transportation services across the eastern United States. They are a large organization with a complex supply chain and a strong focus on efficiency and cost optimization.

Procurement Internship at CSX

This 10-week internship provides an immersive experience into the world of corporate Procurement at CSX. You’ll be exposed to real-world projects and challenges, working alongside experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Project-based learning: You’ll play a significant role in completing identified Procurement projects.
Business Partner Collaboration: Cultivate relationships with business partners to understand their needs and analyze their projects.
Analytical Support: Provide data-driven support for operations reviews, resource allocation, and financial valuations.
Strategic Planning: Assist in developing short- and long-term strategies for the supply chain and procurement of resources.
Procurement Strategy Development: Help develop and implement procurement strategies that optimize benefits and drive sound economic decisions.
Presentation & Communication: Clearly communicate analyses and findings through presentations to senior management and cross-departmental partners.

Minimum Qualifications:

Age: 18 years or older
Education: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in a relevant field, such as:
• Supply Chain Management
• Finance
• Accounting
• Business Administration
• Economics
GPA: Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4-point scale)

Academic Distinction: Proven academic success with a strong interest in procurement and supply chain.
Leadership & Initiative: Demonstrated leadership abilities and a proactive mindset.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
Presentation Skills: Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to senior audiences.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
