This is a Full-time, Onsite Process Technology Development Internship Program for Engineers at Gallo, with Job Req ID: 106635.

Compensation: $27.25 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on factors like education, experience, and skills, but for this specific role, it is listed as fixed.
Duration: This is a 6-month internship program, running from July to December 2026.

A Taste of What You’ll Do:
Join this internship to gain hands-on experience in an innovative department, expanding skills in a collaborative and inclusive environment. Interns will work with operations, winemaking, engineering, and operators on cutting-edge technology projects during the harvest season. The program offers immersion in both lab and production environments to gain insights and practical knowledge valuable for future employment or graduate school.

Key responsibilities include:
• Assisting in the development and scale-up of new technologies for the Winery.
• Participating in technology projects and assisting in managing a portion of an ongoing development project.
• Gathering and analyzing technical and cost data to determine feasibility.
• Evaluating and presenting test results for possible application to systems development.
• Updating standards, policies, specifications, and procedures as assigned.
• Monitoring and ensuring achievement of project goals, objectives, and timelines.
• Solving technical problems and issues.
• Communicating project status.

What You’ll Need (Required Qualifications):
• Currently enrolled at or have obtained a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in a School of Engineering.
• A valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and a reliable vehicle are required at the time of hire, subject to a motor vehicle check (MVR).
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Availability for the entire duration of the internship program (July – December 2026).
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs when necessary.
• Ability to work at heights of 50 feet, on tops of tanks, inspecting wine surfaces when necessary.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
• Ability to travel up to 5% to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events.
• Must be 18 years or older.

How You’ll Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
• Junior or Senior class standing at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor’s degree in the School of Engineering.
• Strong applied technical skills and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and team skills and experience managing multiple assignments.
• Comfortable in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical inclination and an aptitude for design of equipment and manufacturing processes.
