Job Title: Process Improvement Intern

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Conduct Studies: Perform process and financial studies aimed at driving financial value and improving labor efficiencies across the organization.
Utilize Process Technologies: Employ process-related technologies and tools to analyze data effectively and recommend suitable process solutions.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Assist in the preparation, analysis, and interpretation of both data and statistical reports as required.
Leverage Technology (including AI): Develop tools and workflows using technology, including Artificial Intelligence, to enhance efficiency for business users.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analyses to formulate and provide cost-saving recommendations to leadership.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage actively with business partners and/or cross-functional teams to achieve project outcomes.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team personnel to support their assigned tasks and projects.
Presentation Delivery: Create and deliver presentations to leadership, sharing milestone updates and final project results.
Knowledge Acquisition (Lean Six Sigma): Acquire knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools, which are methodologies for process improvement.
Organizational Understanding: Familiarize oneself with the company’s organizational structure, understanding departmental responsibilities and intergroup relationships.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Completion of the Sophomore year in a 4-year Bachelor’s program in Business, Finance, or Process Improvement.
Skills: Possess strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Communication: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Style: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Age: Must be at least 18 years old.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Location: The position is onsite.
Physical Demand: The physical demand level for this job is Sedentary.
Reporting Structure: The intern will report directly to the Process Improvement unit within the Service Corporation and will provide support to all AEP business units.
