Job Description

Job Title: PRN Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Only)
Location: Mandarin – Old St. Augustine Road, Jacksonville, FL
Job Type: PRN (as-needed) – Shifts may vary based on operational needs.

Job Purpose: To support the growing team by providing high-quality X-ray services at the Mandarin location. The ideal candidate will possess a positive, upbeat attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine commitment to patient well-being.

Minimum Requirements:

ARRT(R) certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography).
• Current Florida Radiologic Technologist license.
BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting (preferred).

Essential Job Functions: These are the primary duties and responsibilities crucial to the role:

Patient History: Take thorough medical history from patients prior to their exams.
Instruction Interpretation: Correctly interpret doctors’ scanning instructions for accurate imaging.
Patient Education & Support: Explain procedures clearly to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure their cooperation.
Patient Positioning: Position patients accurately and utilize immobilization devices to achieve optimum views for imaging.
Equipment Operation: Set technical parameters, operate X-ray equipment, and monitor image data during examinations.
Image Evaluation: Evaluate images for technical quality and determine if repeat scans are necessary to meet diagnostic standards.
Radiologist Assistance: Provide assistance to radiologists during specialized procedures, such as arthrograms.
Team Support: Support other modalities or departments within the center as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Non-Essential Job Functions: These are secondary duties that contribute to the overall efficiency and cleanliness of the work environment:

Supply Management: Restock supplies in exam rooms and other designated areas.
Sanitization: Routinely sanitize exam and waiting rooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Physical & Working Requirements:

Mobility: Ability to sit, bend, and stand for extended periods during shifts.
Lifting: Able to lift up to 25 pounds from ground to waist level.
