About the Job: Private Equity Internship – WSO Global Talent Program

Wall Street Oasis (WSO), the world’s largest career community for finance with over 1 million registered members and 20 million annual visits, is offering a unique opportunity for high-performing students through its Global Talent Program.

This highly selective, structured, 10-week virtual internship is designed to provide hands-on experience, build a standout resume, and develop real buy-side skill sets. WSO is actively screening thousands of students globally to identify future finance leaders.

The program is offered in partnership with LMM funds and search funds across major regions including the US, UK, Europe, APAC, and MENA. To ensure a focused, high-impact experience, only two interns are selected per quarter per geographic region.

What You’ll Gain:

Intensive Private Equity Training (Weeks 1–2)

The internship commences with two weeks of rigorous in-house virtual training, led by industry professionals. Participants will build a strong foundation in core Private Equity and growth investing skills, including:

• 3-Statement Financial Modeling
• Capital IQ Pro Access + Academy training (with a certificate upon completion)
• DCF Valuation
• Trading Comparables
• Transaction Comparables
• LBO Basics (Debt + Returns + IRR Drivers)
• Investment Memo Writing
• Market / Industry Research
• Excel + PowerPoint Best Practices for Deal Work

Placement Opportunities

Top interns typically secure placements with entities offering close real-world exposure to buy-side deal work and investing decision-making, such as:

• Lower Middle Market (LMM) PE firms
• Search Funds
• Independent Sponsors
• HoldCo / Operator-led acquisition platforms
• Small Growth Equity firms
• Family Offices investing directly into private companies

Note: This is an unpaid internship. Its value lies in the rigorous training, direct exposure to real private equity work, and mentorship from experienced professionals, offering a significant resume boost for high-potential students.
