Private Equity Intern (Spring 2026 / San Diego Area)
Allied Legacy Partners is excited to offer a Spring 2026 internship opportunity specifically designed for college students in the San Diego area who are able to commute to our office in San Diego, California. This role is ideal for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in the private equity industry.
Role Overview:
As a Private Equity Intern at Allied Legacy Partners, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and evaluating potential acquisition targets. Your responsibilities will encompass researching and analyzing businesses, supporting the underwriting process, and collaborating closely with our team to contribute to the growth of ALP. This internship is offered for academic credit in coordination with your university.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to identify prospective businesses aligning with Allied’s acquisition strategy.
- Assist in the evaluation and underwriting of potential acquisition opportunities by analyzing financial data, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Collaborate with team members to prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal review and decision-making.
- Participate in due diligence processes, including data gathering, validation, and coordination of key information.
- Support the development of investment theses and contribute innovative insights to refine our acquisition strategy.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the sourcing and due diligence phases.
Qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse team members.
- Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for financial and business analysis.
- Demonstrated interest in private equity, business development, and a genuine curiosity for the legacy-driven business landscape.
