What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Management: Take ownership for project delivery, including planning, estimating, and cost control for electrical scopes.
• Technical Expertise: Provide specialized technical input to studies and designs in electrical engineering for data centers.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare contract documentation, specifications, and compile technical project reports.
• Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Present technical solutions to clients and peers, and liaise with professional organizations, contractors, suppliers, and other design team members.
• Team Leadership and Mentoring: Lead a team of engineers working on electrical scopes and mentor junior and intermediate engineers within the group.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s degree qualified (or with requisite post qualification experience if degree qualified) in electrical engineering, preferably with a building services bias. Chartered Principal Electrical Engineer with data centre sector exposure.
• Experience: Post Graduate experience in a building services design role with a particular focus on data centres. Experience in a wide range of medium to large-scale projects, including leading and supervising multi-disciplinary design teams, and Data Centre Construction Administration.
• Skills: Conversant with ETAP, Relux/Dialux, MS project, AutoCAD, and Revit software packages. Ability to lead a team, use own initiative, problem-solve, and confidently liaise with clients, project managers, and contractors. Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, industry good practice, and the ability to undertake site supervision and inspection roles.
• Bonus: Full clean driving licence and passport, willingness and ability to travel to projects across the region and beyond (including internationally), and ability to fulfil criteria for Security Clearance. Member of a professional accreditation body (IET or CIBSE CEng accredited or working towards).
