Precision Ag Summer Internship

This internship provides a comprehensive learning experience in retail sales, agronomy, and operations within the agriculture industry. You will gain hands-on experience in:

Agronomy:

• Identifying weeds, crop diseases, growth stages, plant populations, insect problems, nutrient deficiencies, and soil problems.
• Planning and executing customer events.
• Setting up customer demonstration trials.
• Receiving training and collaborating with experienced agronomists and team members.

Operations/Crop Inputs:

• Learning about the operations of a crop inputs asset, including loading and unloading product shipments, blending seed and fertilizer, maintenance, and general day-to-day duties.

Retail Sales:

• Assisting with crop input retail activities, including receiving and shipping merchandise, becoming familiar with fertilizers and pesticide products and services.
• Providing recommendations and solutions to meet customer needs based on training on various chemicals and fertilizers.

Required Currently pursuings

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma from an accredited program graduating between December 2025 and August 2027.
• Able to complete a 16-week internship from May to August 2025.
• Possess a valid Canadian driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to work in environmental conditions with potential exposure to sun, wind, rain, pollen, dust, and insects.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, comfortable working independently.
• Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.

Preferred Currently pursuings

• Geographically flexible and willing to relocate for an internship opportunity anywhere in Canada.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Agricultural Business, Agronomy, Plant Science, or Soils Science.
• Previous agriculture experience, sales experience, and/or scouting experience.
