Pharmacy Pre-Grad Intern – WM | Walmart

The Tone:
This is an in-person internship at Walmart, located in Springfield, TN. Walmart operates a vast network of pharmacies, central to its commitment to community health and patient care. This role is crucial for supporting the pharmacy team in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services. You will be at the forefront of patient care, directly impacting community health and advocating for patient wellbeing.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $20.50–$33.50 hourly
• Team: Pharmacy team
• Mission: To support the pharmacy team in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services, thereby improving customer health and wellness.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Confidentiality: Ensure the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records according to company policies and relevant guidelines.
• Order Processing: Help with processing prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) orders and purchases.
• Patient Care: Deliver patient care by recognizing individual patient needs, assessing them, and assisting in navigating clinical therapies.
• Merchandise Handling: Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Pharmacy Maintenance: Manage inventory and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student, currently enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy school.
• Experience: Proficiency in pharmaceutical care and the implementation of best practices within a pharmacy setting.
• Skills: Excellent ability to foster relationships with customers and the pharmacy team, capability to cater to individual patient needs, and commitment to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
• Bonus: Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.
