Job Description: Pre-Grad Intern
Position Summary
The Pre-Grad Intern position at Walmart Pharmacy is an opportunity for individuals enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy school to gain hands-on experience at the forefront of patient care in an energetic community pharmacy environment. This role is designed to help interns learn and improve customer health and wellness, while actively advocating for patient well-being. It is a paid position intended to support the pharmacy team’s objectives and contribute to the company’s success.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
As a Pre-Grad Intern, your key responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring Confidentiality: Adhering strictly to Company policies, and local, State, and Federal guidelines regarding the confidentiality of patient information, documentation, and assigned records.
• Processing Orders: Assisting with the processing of both prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) orders and purchases.
• Delivering Patient Care: Recognizing and assessing patient needs, and actively helping them navigate clinical therapies to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Inventory Management: Receiving and stocking merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers to maintain adequate inventory levels.
• Pharmacy Area Maintenance: Managing inventory and helping to maintain the overall organization and cleanliness of the pharmacy area.

Minimum Qualifications
• Enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy school.
Preferred Qualifications
• Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.
Compensation & Benefits
• Hourly Wage Range: $18.00 – $28.00 per hour (actual hourly rate will meet or exceed required minimum wage).
• Additional Compensation: Annual or quarterly performance bonuses, and potentially Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) compensation based on location.
