Job Description: Pre-Grad Intern – Walmart Pharmacy
Position Summary
The Pre-Grad Intern position offers an opportunity to be at the forefront of patient care within a dynamic community pharmacy setting. This role provides hands-on experience, focusing on learning and improving customer health and wellness, and advocating for patient well-being. As a paid intern, you will support the pharmacy team’s goals and contribute to the company’s success.
What you’ll do (Key Responsibilities)
• Confidentiality: Ensure the strict confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in adherence to Company policies, and local, State, and Federal guidelines, including HIPAA and PHI.
• Prescription Processing: Assist with the processing of both prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) orders and purchases.
• Patient Care Delivery: Participate in delivering patient care by recognizing individual patient needs, assessing their requirements, and helping to navigate clinical therapies.
• Inventory Management: Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers, and maintain the pharmacy area.
What you’ll bring (Qualifications & Skills)
Minimum Qualifications:
• Enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy school.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.
Skills & Attributes:
• Pharmaceutical Care: Proficiency in pharmaceutical care principles and implementing best practices.
