Job Description: Pre-Grad Intern

This role is for a Pre-Grad Intern within the dynamic pharmacy team, offering hands-on experience in an energetic environment at the forefront of patient care. The intern will gain valuable experience, learn, and improve customer health and wellness, contributing to the success of the pharmacy team and the company.

Position Summary:
As a Pre-Grad Intern, you will be an integral part of the pharmacy team, making an impact in the community by supporting patient care initiatives. You will learn the intricacies of community pharmacy operations, focusing on customer health and wellness, and advocating for patient well-being. This paid internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience while contributing to the team’s goals and overall company success.

Key Responsibilities (What you’ll do):
Confidentiality: Ensure the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in strict adherence to Company policies, and local, State, and Federal guidelines (including HIPAA and PHI guidelines).
Order Processing: Assist with the processing of both prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) orders and purchases.
Patient Care Delivery: Participate in delivering patient care by recognizing patient needs, assessing them, and assisting in navigating clinical therapies.
Merchandise Management: Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers, and manage inventory while maintaining the pharmacy area.

Qualifications (What you’ll bring):
Pharmaceutical Knowledge: Proficiency in pharmaceutical care and the ability to implement best practices.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent ability to foster relationships with both customers and the pharmacy team.
Patient-Centric Approach: Capability to cater to individual patient needs effectively.
Community Engagement: Enthusiasm for participating in community activities, outreach, and events.
Compliance: Commitment to strictly following HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and PHI (Protected Health Information) guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy school.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.

Compensation:
• The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00-$28.00*.
• The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
• Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
• Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ), based on location.
