This position is vital for delivering one-on-one online instruction to students across the nation, helping them master Pre-Algebra concepts and build confidence from home.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruct: Provide personalized, in-depth Pre-Algebra tutoring sessions to individual students online.
• Explain: Break down complex Pre-Algebra topics, such as operations with signed numbers and proportional reasoning, using various approaches.
• Guide: Lead students through writing and solving basic equations, graphing, and connecting arithmetic to real-world applications.
• Adapt: Adjust instructional methods and tools, including number lines and visual models, to meet diverse student learning styles and curricula.
• Support: Utilize AI-powered tools to enhance sessions and offer immediate assistance through instant tutoring requests.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of core Pre-Algebra concepts including integers, order of operations, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, proportions, basic variable expressions, one-step and two-step equations, inequalities, and coordinate plane fundamentals.
• Experience: Proven ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with and effectively prepare students for formal Algebra coursework.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, an engaging teaching style, capacity to explain material using multiple approaches, and proficiency in explaining GCF, LCM, and exponent rules.
• Bonus: Familiarity with various Pre-Algebra curricula and common student challenges like integer operations and translating word problems.
