Practice Group Support Assistant – Litigation | Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, located in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, or Washington D.C. The firm is one of the world’s leading global law firms, with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. This position is vital for assisting the Commercial Litigation and Enforcement group within the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, providing essential administrative and legal support functions. The role ensures the efficient operation and organization of high-volume legal work across multiple jurisdictions.

• Team: Litigation practice group, reporting to the Manager of Legal Practice Support
• Mission: Assist the Commercial Litigation and Enforcement group within the Litigation Practice Group with various administrative and legal support functions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Organization: Establish, organize, and maintain case filings, emails, and correspondence for the practice group.
• Data Management: Assist with the organization and management of case and client information manually and digitally using electronic databases.
• Scheduling & Coordination: Coordinate hearings, service of process, filings, and calendaring for a high-volume practice across multiple courts and jurisdictions.
• Legal Research: Perform research for judicial rules and procedures in various state and federal courts.
• Document Preparation: Assist attorneys and case teams with the preparation, review, and e-filing of various pleadings, discovery, and document production materials.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High school diploma required.
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience. Prior experience working in a law firm or legal department focusing on litigation is strongly preferred.
• Skills: Project management skills, ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree.
