Insomniac produces large-scale, innovative, and immersive music festivals and events worldwide. They are known for their state-of-the-art production, art installations, theatrical performers, and a focus on creating a unique fan experience. The company produces 10,000 concerts, club nights and festivals for seven million attendees annually across the globe. Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, their premiere annual event, is the world’s largest dance music festival. Insomniac was founded in 1993 by Pasquale Rotella and is based in Los Angeles.

Job Description:

Insomniac Events is seeking a proactive and motivated PR Intern to join their records team in Los Angeles (Calabasas, CA). This is a paid internship that offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. The intern will report to the Director & Insomniac Music Group Promo Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Supplement outreach across streaming and media platforms.
• Facilitate growth of internal database of third-party playlists, press partners, radio and tastemaker contacts
• Draft and edit content for singles, EPs, albums, compilations, and other materials as needed.
• Monitor correspondence and field pending PR and Promo requests
• Maintain internal resources to ensure information is current.
• Collect and source data for internal research projects and pitch decks.
• Project-manage various short-term assignments.
• Provide on-site support at events as needed.
• Perform other press/promo-related duties as requested.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age and currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school
• Must be able to work out of Calabasas, CA
• Typical commitment is 16-29 hours per week
• Must be motivated with an “Everything is possible” attitude
• Must be an active problem solver, instilled with a sense of urgency for projects large and small
• Knowledge of dance music and Insomniac’s brands

Work Environment:

• Must be willing to travel to work during holidays, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines.
• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels and drastic temperature climates while working on site at various event location.
• Must be able to work in open concept office space.

Compensation:

• The expected compensation for this position in California is $18.00 USD Hourly.
• The expected compensation for this position is $16.50 – $18.00 USD Hourly.
