Job Description: PR Intern

Insomniac Events is seeking a highly motivated and proactive PR Intern to join the records team in Los Angeles. This is a hands-on opportunity in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The intern will report to the Director and Insomniac Music Group Promo Manager.

Responsibilities:

Outreach: Supplement outreach across various streaming platforms and media.
Database Management: Facilitate growth of internal database of playlists, press partners, radio contacts, and tastemakers.
Content Creation: Draft and edit content for singles, EPs, albums, compilations, and other releases as needed.
Correspondence Management: Monitor correspondence and field pending PR and promo requests.
Resource Management: Maintain internal resources to ensure relevant information is up-to-date.
Data Collection: Collect and source data for internal research projects and pitch decks.
Project Management: Manage various short-term assignments as requested.
Event Support: Provide support at events on-site as needed.
Other Duties: All other press/promo related duties as requested.

Qualifications:

Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or trade school.
Location: Must be able to work out of Calabasas, CA.
Commitment: Typical commitment is 10-24 hours per week.
Motivation: Must be highly motivated with a “Everything is possible” attitude.
Problem Solving: Must be an active problem solver with a sense of urgency for projects.
Knowledge: Knowledge of dance music and Insomniac’s brands.

Work Environment:

Noise Levels: Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels and busy environments.
Temperature: May work in drastic temperature climates.
Hours: Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours as required to meet deadlines.

Compensation:

hourly Rate: $18-$18 USD hourly
Notes: This is a paid internship, and it is not a remote position.
