Post Production Assistant | ZEALOT
The Tone:
This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly role at ZEALOT, located in New York. ZEALOT operates in the post-production industry, managing and processing media for various internal and external systems. This entry-level position is crucial for maintaining the seamless flow of media assets, ensuring files are accurately ingested, exported, organized, and error-free, thereby supporting the broader post-production team and client needs.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Media Ingestion: Handle media ingestions, link creation, and posting requests from Associate Producers, Producers, Creative Directors, and Finishing teams.
• Client Media Management: Manage and prioritize client media download requests, including ingesting media into Zealot’s environment and ensuring files are correct and properly named.
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation of client systems, processes, and logins to ensure quick and easy media retrieval and posting.
• Transcription Support: Create transcription files and documents for features, episodes, and other content to assist Editors and Producers.
• Asset Tracking: Work with the Asset Manager to track and log all physical media deliveries, including external drives, flash drives, discs, and tapes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level career experience in a post-production environment, with a strong understanding of MacOS and general computer skills.
• Experience: Familiarity with various media file types (e.g., .mov, .mp4, .png, .jpg) and video codecs (e.g., h.264/h.265, ProRes, DnXHD).
• Skills: Excellent organizational and time management abilities, a capacity to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Experience with media delivery platforms such as Aspera, Signiant, Pix, or Box, and familiarity with Non-Linear Editing (NLE) software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, or Da Vinci Resolve.
